Paris Day 1

We took the Chunnel from London to Paris. I guess I was expecting something like a rollercoaster ride but the ride was very smooth, so smooth in fact that I took a nap. It takes under 3 hours to get to Paris.

When we arrived in Paris we has a lot of little things to do in the train station; like reserve our seats to Gimmelwald, buy the Paris Museum pass and a couple of other things. Since the train station was huge it was an adventure to figure out where to go and how to say things in french!

Our first stop in Paris was a cafe. We were dzing to try authetic Paris cuisine. We went to La Terrase de 7eme. The cafe was verz large and sat on a corneer that overlooks a very busy intersection. I ordered the salade nicoise which is lettuce, tuna, potatoes, and hard boiled eggs..it seems like it would be gross but in fact it was very yummy. I do love tuna.

We rounded out the day with a sightseeing cruise on the Siene River. The river was a little smelly but it gave us great views of the city and especially Notre-Dame. After the cruise we hopped over to our neighborhood, Rue Cler and ate and La Gourmadise which serves up pizza and pasta by a friendly and helpful owner.
