LA Day 2

On day 2 of our LA adventure we hung out with J's uncle Mike. He lives in LA and was kind enough to spend the day with us! (thanks Mike!)

We started the day by going to Canters and getting sandwiches. Canters is famous for their West Hollywood food that they have been serving up for like 50 (or more) years!

After that we went to Universal Studios. It was a really fun place! I really didn't really know anything about Universal but we went on the Studio tour, which took us behind the scenes of the movies and onto sets, it was pretty cool!
This is Mike and J on the escalator heading into the "lower lot"

On the studio tour we saw the set of Desperate Housewives which was really neat. I was looking for the cast but didn't see anybody....
We also saw the opening set for War of the Worlds (the Tom Cruise one). This is 747 that they bought for 60,000 and then destroyed it. It was really cool to see how they do things.

This a blue scene that is used to create scenes like in Bruce Almighty where Jim Carrey walks on the water.

One of the coolest things about LA is that when you drive down the street you see really cool places like The Writer's Guild , MGM, Revolution Studio and many other places like that.

We had fun in LA but we thought it was crazy because there is so many things to see, things to do, and places to eat that you really could live your whole life in LA and never experience it all.

Apparently there was an earthquake in LA last night! It was at like 1 a.m. - did you feel it?

Loving the blog, by the way!

Are you going to bump into Perez Hilton at that coffee shop he calls his office?!
